Some Questions You Might Have about Artist applied Spray Tans:

Q1: How long is this process going to take?

A1: Although there are many preparation steps to this tanning process, once you come into the salon, it should only take about 15 minutes to complete your spray session. If you are new to this process, give yourself and extra couple minutes to make sure your bronzer has dried before getting dressed again. Be sure to schedule your spray tan 24-48 hours before your scheduled event/vacation travel/desired activity you want to be tan for.

Q2: How long will my tan last?

A2: Usually your spray will last anywhere from 5-7 days but if you decide to use a tan extender and proper moisturizer that you apply twice daily, it will last anywhere from 7-10 days! Check out our Gloe spray to replace your daily lotion – this one of my favorites.

Q3: Will the solution make me look orange?

A3: Every spray solution differs, so Sunless Beauty uses only the finest solution to ensure that every spray looks even and natural. Spray solution consists of DHA and Cosmetic bronzers, both of which will give you instant color. BUT our solution is also sugar and aloe based, vegan and filled with Vitamin A, C, E - which will tan you naturally.

Q4: Is spray tanning safe to do?

A4: DHA bronzers and Cosmetic bronzers are both FDA approved and the sugar and aloe based solution has no toxic chemicals and is more natural than most other solutions.

Q5. Is it sprayed by a machine?

A5. No Sunless Beauty tans are artist applied and each tan is customized for your skin type, texture and are perfectly contoured to make you look beautiful, toned and flawlessly bronzed.

Some Questions You Might Have about Sugaring

1. What is sugaring?
Sugaring is a natural hair removal method that uses a paste made of sugar, water, and lemon juice. The paste is applied to the skin and then removed, pulling the hair out from the root. Unlike waxing, sugaring adheres only to the hair and dead skin cells, making it a gentler option.

2. How does sugaring work?
The sugaring paste is applied against the direction of hair growth and then removed in the direction of hair growth. This technique reduces breakage, ingrown hairs, and irritation while removing the hair from the root.

3. Is sugaring painful?
Pain levels vary depending on individual sensitivity, but sugaring is generally considered less painful than waxing. The sugar paste does not stick to live skin cells, which helps reduce discomfort during removal.

4. How long does sugaring last?
Sugaring typically lasts 3 to 5 weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles. Over time, regular sugaring can result in thinner and lighter hair regrowth.

5. What areas can be sugared?
Sugaring can be performed on most parts of the body, including the face, legs, arms, underarms, bikini area, and even more sensitive areas like the Brazilian and eyebrows.

6. Is sugaring suitable for all skin types?
Yes, sugaring is safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, making it ideal for those prone to skin reactions or breakouts.

7. How should I prepare for a sugaring appointment?
To prepare for sugaring, ensure your hair is at least 1/8 to 1/4 inch long for the paste to grip properly. Exfoliate the area gently 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and avoid applying lotions or oils.

8. Can I sugar if I have sensitive skin?
Sugaring is ideal for sensitive skin because the natural ingredients are less likely to cause irritation or allergic reactions. It also reduces the risk of burns, as the paste is applied at room temperature.

9. How do I care for my skin after sugaring?
After sugaring, avoid hot baths, saunas, and exercise for 24-48 hours to prevent irritation. Keep the area clean, exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs, and moisturize with a gentle, fragrance-free lotion.

10. Can I sugar if I'm pregnant?
Yes, sugaring is safe during pregnancy. It is a gentler option for hair removal, which can be especially beneficial for sensitive skin during pregnancy.

11. How is sugaring different from waxing?
Sugaring uses a natural paste that adheres only to the hair, while waxing sticks to both hair and skin, increasing the likelihood of irritation. Sugaring is also less painful, easier to clean off, and can lead to longer-lasting smoothness with regular treatments.

12. Can sugaring help prevent ingrown hairs?
Yes, sugaring can help reduce ingrown hairs because the hair is removed in the direction of growth, which minimizes hair breakage and reduces the chances of hairs curling back into the skin.

13. How often should I get sugaring done?
Most people schedule sugaring every 3 to 5 weeks, depending on their hair growth cycle. Regular sugaring can lead to slower regrowth and finer hair over time.

14. Are there any side effects to sugaring?
Sugaring is generally very gentle, but you may experience slight redness or irritation immediately after the treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours.

15. Can I sugar with a spray tan?
It’s best to avoid sugaring right after getting a spray tan, as the sugaring process exfoliates the skin and can strip away your tan. To maintain your spray tan, wait at least 24-48 hours after sugaring before getting a spray tan. If you already have a spray tan, it's recommended to wait until your tan fades before sugaring to avoid uneven patches or removal of the tan in sugared areas.

Some Questions You Might Have about Teeth Whitening Services:

Q1: How long is this process going to take?

A1: T
he length of this process varies depending on how stained your teeth are and for how long they have been stained. The darker and deeper the stains the longer amount of time is needed on the light. Session times are broken up into 20 minute segments and the average person needs anywhere from 1-3 sessions (smokers and coffee drinkers may need up to 5). Touch ups are recommended every 3-6 months. Touch up session typically range only 20 minutes to return the teeth back to post service lightening.

Q2: How do I prepare for my appointment ?

A2: Although there are not many preparation steps to teeth whitening process, once you come into the studio we will measure the stains on your teeth. Measuring is quick and painless, we use a gradient chart. However we do recommend that you have a previous check up with your dentist before to ensure you do not have any issues such as infection, gum disease and we recommend you have had a cleaning at least 12 months before your session. Be sure to schedule your appointment 24-48 hours in advance as we do have a consent waiver we need you to fill out.

Q3: What is the process like?

A3:
The way that teeth whitening works is very simple. Firstly, a cp-based gel is pasted onto your teeth. Special care is taken to ensure that the bleach doesn’t get onto the soft tissue of the gums and inside of the teeth, as this can cause irritation. Once the gel is in place, the heat from the blue light is used to create a chemical reaction that breaks down stains and lightens the color of teeth.

Q4: Will my teeth look better after whitening?

A4: D
iscoloration can make your smile look prematurely old, unhealthy, and unattractive. Fortunately, teeth whitening is a very effective way to treat discoloration. Your teeth will only whiten to their genetic traits. So your teeth whitening will look natural and will fit your face and looks.

Q5: Is teeth whitening safe to do?

A5: Yes the service is safe and conducted by fully trained technicians.
Contradictions include children under the age 12, pregnant and/or nursing mothers and anyone on photosensitive medication like antibiotics or chemo therapy.

Q6: Will this process be painful?

A6: We use a 35% CP gel which a professional medium strength gel and is much gentler on the teeth than an HP gel. Plus our gel continues to whiten your teeth up to 6 hours after the session instead of aggressively whitening them. If you are going to be doing more than one session with us 40 mins+ (based on your consolation) we recommend investing in the Desensitizing kit which remineralizes your teeth therefore creating a sensitive free experience. We have a 100% client satisfaction with the Desensitizing kit.

Some Questions You Might Have about Eyelash Lift:

torrancelashliftandtint

Q1: What is a Lash Lift?

A1: The lash lift procedure has revolutionized old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions and the associated aftercare, this will last you 6-8 weeks and can be combined with a tint give the lashes a darker richer color (similar to mascara)

Q2: How long does a lash lift take?

A2: A lash lift can take anything from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end. Maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift.

Q3: What is the look of an Eyelash Lift?

A3: The Lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of its predecessor, the lash perm. Whilst the procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. You will not get the  "dolly" overly curled look becasue the new silicone pads used for this procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.

Q4: Does the Lash Lift procedure hurt?

A4: No the procedure is totally painless.  You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.

Q5: Will the Lash Lift damage my natural lashes??

A5: No. Select a carefully trained and skilled Professional to ensure proper Lash Lift procedures are followed

Q6: Can a Lash Lift be used to compliment other treatments?

A6: A lash Lift is enhanced when you use an eyelash growth product. While your lashes grow longer, our process controls and can even straighten overlaped curly lashes. Giving them a uniform lifted look. Lash tint can also be applied during the treatment to enhance the look of your lashes.

Q7: How long will a Lash Lift last?

A7: A Lash Lift can last 4-6 weeks but can vary from person to person.  There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 4-6 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.

Q8: Will I have a reaction to the lotion?

A8: Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand.  A patch test is quick and simple.  It consists of us placing 2 drops of lotions behind the ear for 15 minutes. Wiping it off and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.

Q9: Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?

A9: Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.

Some Questions You Might Have about Eyelash Extensions:

Q1: How long do they usually last?

A1: Once you get a full set of lashes, they will stay on for as long as your natural lashes naturally fall out and regrow, which is about 4-6 weeks. To keep them looking nice, it's good to get a touch-up every 2 - 3 weeks.

Q2: How long does it take to apply Lash Extensions?

A2: The technicians can put a full set of regular lashes on in about 2 hours. Touch-ups usually take around 1 to 1 and a half hours. They take out any lashes that have grown out, tidy things up, and make your lashes look new again. Doing this every time you come in helps your extensions last longer.

Q3: Can I wear make-up with my Lash Extensions?

A3: Yes, you can! But it's not a good idea to use mascara that isn't meant for lash extensions or products that have oil. These things can make your lash extensions fall off before their time. Also we recommend purchasing our Lash Shampoo and use only that on your eyes.

We have special mascaras, cleansers/removers, and sealers that are safe to use with extensions, and you can buy them if you want!

Q4: Will LE harm my natural lashes?

A4: No, they won't! When they're applied correctly the extensions are applied to each lash individual natural lash separately. When properly applied lash extensions won't hurt your real lashes.

Our lash experts are certified. They really care about your real lashes. During your consolations the tech will look at your lashes and decide which kind of extensions will work best for you. This way, you won't end up with any damage or breakage!

Q5: How do I care for my LE?

A5: For the first day or two after getting lash extensions:

Do not get the lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours including:
Steam
Tears
Showering
Swimming
Eye Makeup Remover
This is crucial to get the best retention possible!
Brush your lashes straight as needed, but never when they are wet!
No oil based products
Do not touch, play with, or pick at your Lashes!
Do not use lash curler on them.

Q6: What should I do to prepare for my LE appointment?

A6: Thoroughly wash your eyes with oil free face wash or eye makeup remover. Do not wear any eye make-up, but if you do we have remover here! Do not curl lashes. Also be sure you discontinue use of eyelash growth serums.
